In doing quite a bit of research about glues used on
paper products & which companies to purchase the paper products I use on my
GFBToys...there are many that look similar but they are not all the same. The
glue used on paper towel & toilet paper tubes is generally a chemical based
glue, it's cheap & designed to not be handled anymore other than to toss it
when the toilet paper is gone. Plus this glue is not inciting to rodents while
in storage before being shipped out to stores. This storage time can be quite
awhile. The GFBS Parrot Rings, Pudgies & Nubbies are made to order because
of the glue is a white non-animal derived glue is tasty to rodents so stock
can't sit around without damage/loss.
Then there are the tubes used with scented toilet
paper or the heavily chemical processed paper towels…these chemicals can leech
into the cardboard tube...toxic.
You might not notice/see health issues immediately…
BUT over time, the continued exposure to these chemicals collects & builds
up in the kidneys & liver to the point that they can’t clean the toxins out
anymore & that’s when you notice the health damage.
